about
You’ve Got Some Nerve is the dreamy new offering from Dharawal/Illawarra-based artist Moon Brain.
This lush, sprawling ballad is rich with analogue synthesisers and atmospheric guitars, once again showcasing Rogers’ affinity for texture, dynamics and drama.
Produced by long-time collaborator Simon Todkill, YGSN was recorded in part at Golden Retriever Studios in Marrickville with Simon Berckelman, and at Rogers’ own home on Sydney’s south coast.
Enlisting the help of drummer Mathew Gardner (Jim Ward, Sparta) and guitarist Dan Cunningham (Polish Club).

lyrics
THERES A SOUR TASTE
IN MY MOUTH
ITS SOMETHING I
COULD LIVE WITHOUT
MY STOMACH TURNS
AND PULLS ME INSIDE OUT
THIS SINKING FEELING
HOLDING ME DOWN
FORCING ME
TO THE GROUND
SPIT ON MY FACE
IVE LEARNT TO EMBRACE
AND TAKE MY PLACE
YOU’VE GOT SOME NERVE
THERES NO BREATH LEFT
IN MY LUNGS
NO BEAT TO MY HEART
I JUST CANT START
AS MY MIND WANDERS
AND LEAVES ME FORGOTTEN
IM JUST TRYING
TO FIND SOME LIGHT
SOMETHING TO SHOW ME
WHAT IS RIGHT
IM DANCING AROUND
NO HOPE TO BE FOUND
YOU’VE GOT SOME NERVE
LIVING IN A FANTASY
NOTHING EVER CHANGES
